The council comprises some 11 councillors, 8 representing the ward of Kingsley and 3 the Whiston Ward.
The Council has a single employee, a part-time Clerk and contracts a lengthsman (handyperson) and a litter picker to carry out work across the area. Additional work may be tendered or contracted out on a needs basis.
The council meets once a month on the second Tuesday at either Kingsley Village Hall, Kingsley Holt Community Centre meeting room or Whiston Village Hall. Each meeting starts at 7.15pm other than the Annual Meeting in April which starts at 7pm.
The council are active in planning matters but can only pass comment to the District Council, and work hard to maintain the highways in the parish through dialogue and requests with the County Council.
The Parish is split into the wards of Kingsley, that covers Kingsley and Kingsley Holt and has councillors and the ward of Whiston which has 3 councillors.
Additionally, the Council are responsible for 3 Recreation grounds, Burial ground (not churchyard) and Allotments.
